Boris Karloff's home is located on East 62nd Street in New York City. It was here the actor moved in December of 1941 for the final duration of his run in Arsenic and Old Lace on Broadway. During his time here he was an air raid warden, performed in the Navy Relief Show at Madison Square Garden, appeared on an episode of the radio program Inner Sanctum, and wrote the forward to cartoonist Charles Addams' first book, Drawn and Quartered. Karloff remained in New York until June 1942, when contractual obligations forced him to leave the show and return to Hollywood for the filming of The Boogie Man Will Get You for Columbia.
